The first time Thomas stood at a race circuit and watched a Formula 1 car go past at full speed, he understood immediately that television had been lying to him his entire life.
The noise. The speed. The smell. The way the ground shakes. None of it translates through a screen.
He went back the following year. And the year after that. And then he started going to other races — different circuits, different countries, different categories.
What started as a passion became something more. He started working around motorsport events. Volunteering as an official. Travelling between countries to get to the next race. Building up a picture of what makes each event special — and what can completely ruin one.
Around Australia. Around the World.
Thomas has attended motorsport events in Australia, Europe, North America and the Middle East — from the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park to Monaco, Monza, Silverstone, Suzuka, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Miami, Mexico City, Canada and beyond.
Twenty Grands Prix. Four Continents.
Formula 1 has taken Thomas to circuits across four continents. He has watched races from grandstands, worked as an official trackside, and experienced the full range of what a Formula 1 race weekend looks and feels like from the inside.
He knows what the atmosphere in the Melbourne park feels like on race morning. He knows how different Singapore feels at midnight compared to midday. He knows what makes each circuit and each race weekend its own experience.
That knowledge is what shapes every Motorsport Journeys Formula 1 experience.
The Mulsanne at 3am.
Le Mans is not just a race. It is a 24-hour experience that changes completely depending on what time of day — or night — you are watching it.
Thomas has stood at the Mulsanne kink at 3am as the headlights come through the darkness. He has watched the sun come up over the circuit as the cars are still running. He has been there for the final hour when the crowd builds and the tension is almost unbearable.
He has also explored the Loire Valley châteaux that are twenty minutes from the pit lane. He knows the restaurants in Le Mans city worth booking. He knows what the build-up around the circuit feels like in the days before the race.
That is what the Motorsport Journeys Le Mans experience is built on.
The Green Hell.
The Nürburgring Nordschleife is unlike any other circuit in the world. Twenty-five kilometres of tarmac carved through the Eifel forest. More than 150 corners. A circuit that has humbled the greatest drivers in motorsport history.
Thomas has watched the 24-hour race from multiple vantage points around the circuit. He has experienced the Eifel fog rolling in on Saturday night and the field disappearing into the darkness.
He knows the villages around the circuit worth visiting. He knows the atmosphere that builds through the race weekend. He knows where to stand to get the most out of the experience.
Bathurst. The Mountain. The Race.
Thomas has attended approximately 50 Supercars events across Australia — Bathurst, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Townsville, Sydney and more. He has been on the mountain at Bathurst in the rain. He has watched the field come through Skyline and The Dipper from positions the television cameras never find.
Australian Supercars is a different kind of motorsport experience. The atmosphere is unique. The circuits are spectacular. The racing is close and aggressive in a way that is hard to find anywhere else in the world.

After years of travelling to motorsport events, Thomas kept noticing the same thing: most people were only experiencing a fraction of what was available to them.
